The performance is AWFUL for some reason, even though I'm sure I can run this game just fine with my laptop specs. If I just stand still in the first town the whole game lags for 3 or 5 seconds at a time for no apparent reason. I've disabled all shadows and water shaders and it sill happens I decided to give OpenMW another spin with the 0.40 release last night, and it seems to run Vanilla Morrowind pretty okay on my setup (i7 4710QM, GTX860M, 16GB ram, 256 GB SSD) with framerates over 300 Fps everywhere, running the water shaders on full, AA at 8, Trilinear AF at 16 and resolution at 1080p.
